What is this man doing?
He is creating a chalk outline of the letters with a paper template. The template has a drawing of the sign with little holes perforated along the lines. The chalk lines become the guide to mount the letters straight. The letters are affixed with a silicone adhesive and the chalk is cleaned off.
The letters shown here are cut-out polished alumunum letters, produced and installed by H.M. Witt & Co. Metal letters for inside can be cast, fabricated or cut-out.
